This term, pupils in KS 3 and 4 have been exploring the story of Handa’s Surprise by Eileen Browne. Within art lessons, students have been making sculptures of the fruit using paper mache and acrylic paint. An exhibition of the work will be held at Newbury Library where families will have the opportunity to create their own artwork based on this culturally diverse story.
