We had a fantastic World of Work visit this week. Two of our students - Sam and Connor - went to work experience at Newbury Racecourse, where they assisted the stewards checking tickets, as customers arrived for the "Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials" on Friday 19^th April.

We were given a fantastic welcome, and the boys were given stewards jackets and racecourse caps to wear.

Each student was paired up with one of the stewarding team, and when the gates opened they worked with their "buddy" to check and scan tickets and wish racegoers a good day.

They both really enjoyed it, and even got quite competitive about who had scanned in the most visitors!

Many thanks to the racecourse for this opportunity, which we are hoping to repeat at further afternoon events this spring / summer.
